Stagedoor provides the cheapest drinks on the strip hands down. This is the perfect pre-game spot but people like to chain-smoke cigarettes there.

Ok this is the pre game spot on the strip. Cheap drinks $2 hot dogs that are amazing. And it's just behind the Cromwell you can park and walk all over the strip from there.
