To reach the lake, head towards this monument. You will find an underpass that will take you past Lake Shore Drive and onto the lake bike/walking/running path.

This is my second favorite spot to see skyline of Chicago. No many people stop by here to take a look of the view as probably everyone only knows the spot at planetarium. You will get all the view quietly all for yourself.
