This market is the perfect place to shop for fresh produce. The fruit and vegetable shop near the fishmonger 'THE FRUIT BOWL’ provides excellent organic produce from local farms. The eggs and bacon shop is good too, with a fantastic array of cheeses (for bargain prices). The fishmonger provides seafood for lots of the local restaurants, and always has a fantastic supply of fresh fish.

Brighton Open Market is close to the flat, and is a bustling covered street market where you can pick up local fruit, veg, eggs, fish, whatever. Loads of local favourites here, Smorl's sells the best houmous around, and the Gozleme stall is an amazing deal at £3.

It's got an array of shops and stalls that offer a variety of goods that you may not see anywhere else in Brighton. Worth a look on a weekend as they have special events. There's also three cafes.
