Great place for dock fishing. It is a very nice park which can spend half or full day here. In summer, can see a lot of yacht, sailing boat come in and out from this area. Dock fishing on the rocks here have more chances to get big fish. Have to pay for the parking.

You can canoe or kayak south along the Simcoe lake shore right from the cottage to the opening of the Pefferlaw River. That is where the Peninsula Resort, Georgina, Ontario is located just so that you can find the river entrance on your Map apps. There you can explore the river, cafe might be open, marinas with boats to check out as you paddle by. Only to be done on a calm lake day. Watch out for speed boats and their wake. It is about a 20-30 minute paddle one way - shorter if you have a tail breeze.
