The last old-fashioned pub in the area, it sells the best real ales at the best price in London, you can play board games, eat cheap and see people that you won't find in gastro-pubs. And it comes with a history: built in1801 and still keeping original features, it replaced the Green Dragon, so people have been drinking there since 1702. In the 1970s and early '80s, it was one of the places to catch up-and-coming bands: The Jam, The Stranglers, Ian Dury, Adam and the Ants, The Police and Sex Pistols played there.
