This super fun museum features touch pools, model tide pools, helpful exhibit attendants, and a growing Giant Pacific Octopus named Sylvia! While you’re on the pier, keep an eye out for river otter, seals, sea lions, whales, eagles, blue herons, king fishers, and cormorants! Your pass also includes entry to the Natural History Museum which features interactive exhibits including an orca skeleton.

The Marine Science Center and Whale Museum are both included in one admission. Both are hands-on with touch tanks and interactive exhibits. Located in Fort Worden which has a beautiful sandy beach and lighthouse. Open only on weekends in the winter months so check the website before you go.

Great for families! Fun little touch pools. Go for a burger and ice cream at the Cablehouse Beach Canteen afterward (summers only) and then walk down to the lighthouse along the coastal road

Discover the nearshore habitats of the Salish Sea in the Port Townsend Marine Science Center’s aquarium featuring local fish and invertebrate species. View plankton through a microscope, touch an anemone, learn about the orca ‘Hope.’ Science camps are available in the summer and a variety of programs are offered.
