Is the oldest and most beautiful house on Merida's central square. It overlooks the park with its impressive facade. Casa dates back to 1542. It was built on the orders of Francisco de Montejo, the conqueror of Yucatan.

On Sundays this museum is free. It’s a beautiful home with artwork and furnishings from the original Montejo family. It’s also air conditioned and there’s a small gift shop as well.
