Tips from locals
Gratz Park has a variety of beautiful architecture. It has a park, and interestingly, was the headquarters of both the Union and the Confederacy during the Civil War. The Confederacy was in the Hunt Morgan House, and the Union was in the Bodley Bullock House. Hunt Morgan is open for tours. Bodley Bullock rents out for events. Both have lovely gardens.
Checkout the adorable brick homes, take a picnic in the park, and look at the horse statues around lexington in honor of the races and local businesses joining together in community.
Small but beautiful park near Transylvania University. The streets are lined with historic houses dating back to the mid-1800s-- one of which the current mayor lives in. Lexington's original Carnegie Library is located here too.
