Nice cathédrale in the middle of town. There are nice little boutiques in Périgueux. About 1 hour drive.

Capital city of the Dordogne department. Shopping, historic sightseeing and good food.

A great cathedral city to visit only 45 mins from Riberac. Great night life along the river front in the summer months. Beautiful renaissance centre with small lanes full of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Brilliant markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings not to be missed. A lively city not to be missed.

Périgueux is our nearest big town, a 25min drive away. It’s known for the landmark Saint-Front Cathedral, with domes and turrets. The Vesunna Gallo-Roman Museum contains an excavated Roman house with the remains of baths and murals. In front is the Tour de Vesoné, part of a ruined Gallo-Roman temple. The Périgord Museum of Art and Archaeology has ancient artifacts, African sculptures and modern paintings. Perigueux is also teaming with cafes shops and restaurants, and has a large market on Wednesday mornings and all day saturday during the season.

Take a walk through the smaller side streets too as they are well worth it and market day is always lively.
