Built at the end of the ninth century, this castle completely dominates the city of Alicante. From there it is possible to see the entire city in 360 degrees, as well as the Alicante coast and the mountains to the west. Admission is free and you can park (although places are limited).

Walk up to the top of the Castle and enjoy the 360' views of the City of Sunshine, Alicante! Go just before the sun sets to see the true colours of the sea and watch the city light up as the dark slowly falls.
High above the city shines this enormous castle that stands on top of the Benacantil mountain. Take a brisk walk up or use the elevator. The views of the city, the port and the Mediterranean Sea is a great lasting reminder and very definitely worth the visit!
