Tips from locals
Classic example of a Victorian park, designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, and which measures 34 hectares (85 acres). Its set on the banks of the River Kelvin, and is (in my opinion) the best park in Glasgow. Depending on time of day / year, you may find joggers, cyclists, students, dog walkers, skaters…
This park surrounds the art museum and is also located near Glasgow University. This is a great place to head for a lovely stroll and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is the main park in the West End and is a lovely green space next to Kelvingrove Art Gallery
A beautiful park with 2 play areas great for young kids, and a skate park. Swing by An Clachan Cafe in the park for a cuppa and some cake, or some delicious lunch.
