Tips from locals
If you want to see cherry Blossom but avoid the traffic, head to Dumbarton Oaks, with its magnificent gardens. Also you will be where diplomatic meetings to create United Nations took place (1941)
Dumbarton Oaks is a Harvard University research institute, library, museum, and garden. The museum houses world-class collections of Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art. The historic garden was created in close collaboration with renowned landscape designer Beatrix Farrand.
Cool little museum. It's free. Gardens aren't, but they aren't much. Nice little visit.
