Tips from locals
Stunning architecture, a great space for art with a rooftop open to the public for $10 on wednesday evenings
Check it out: it's free, the architecture is amazing and the exhibits are usually good too.
Beautiful grounds right on the river. You can also go to Mayfield park and see the peacocks and check out the view from Mt. Bonnell.
Modern gallery with great exhibits and they always host an excellent array of artists that are constantly updated. There's a beautiful rooftop lounge that also has cold brew sometimes!

“In January 2015, Ellsworth Kelly gifted the Blanton a design concept for his most monumental work: the first and only building the artist designed, as well as the last project before his death in December 2015. The stained glass in this building is super cool! One of Austin’s better museums. ”

“This is a beautiful natural fed spring. It gets crowded on the weekends, but just say you're a local for a lower rate. This is also a top-optional pool.”

“The pink-granite building is the centerpiece of downtown Austin, perched on a hill at 12th Street and Congress Avenue. Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”
