This is another location associated with Louisa May Alcott the writer of Little Women. After her father's settlement and philosophy experiment of Fruitlands in the town of Harvard failed, and the family almost starved to death, they moved to Concord. Not far from Bush, the home of Emerson. Emerson started a slightly less hard core settlement in Concord. This became their family homestead in Concord.
