Tips from locals
This is one of my favorite local theaters in the city. I have seen a number of shows here, many of which rival Broadway groups, but the casts here are all local talent!
The Public Theater is San Antonio’s largest, most productive professional live theater organization and only Equity Theater. Established in 1912 as the San Antonio Dramatic Club and incorporated on April 6, 1927, as the San Antonio Little Theatre it is the most historic theater in South Texas.
Looking for local theatre at prices that you can afford? This Playhouse is top notch for professional productions by locals.
Produces live theatre that inspires, educates, & entertains audiences. Our passion is to connect our community to the world at large by telling stories that reveal the truth of the human experience.

“Though satisfactory, you don't really come here for the food or the drinks: from the staff to the patrons to whomever's on stage or passing by the huge open windows on The Strip there is always something to see at this popular hangout. [www.lutherscafe.com]”
