We love this place--especially when we walk or cycle to it along the canal! There are grey herons and swans to spot along the way, and when we get there, it's always beautiful, even in winter--but especially in Spring and Summer when the flowers are in full bloom.
The Kibble Palace and the winter gardens in the Botanics are lovely for a wander round. There's a little playpark in there too. You can walk through Kelvingrove Park and along the Kelvin Walkway which takes you all the way to the Botanic Gardens Arboretum and into the Botanic Gardens without stepping on a road! Head out of the main gate and east along Great Western Road for a block and you'll find Loop & Scoop where you can get some delicious churros and ice cream.

Lovely restorative park filled with different peaceful glasshours with an array of flowers and plants from all over the world. You can read in here, walk, think, listen--it is a quiet and tranquil space that allows one to escape the city street for a short time. It is only a five minute walk from the flat and is well worth the visit and time spent there.
