Stunning views from the summit. Must do while visiting is a walk up Mt Paku (40-60 minutes each way from 'The Lodge'). Alternatively take the car to the carpark at the children's playground half way up and walk from there. 10 minute walk with a bit of a scrabble over boulders at the end. Views stunning right out to the Alderman islands & many others. Also some historic facts placards as you walk through the bush and arrive at the top.

About a 20 minute walk from house to top of summit, or take the car up to the start of the track. About 10 minutes walk from start of the track, quite steep atvthe end but managable.....the reward is some of the best views around, out to Slipper Island, Rabbit Island, Shoe island, the the famous Alderman islands. A must!
