It’s on all the lists, and I try not to do big tourist recommendations, but this one is a great one. Hike down to the beach and you’ll be able to see how the unpredictable waves kick up on the bridge. We did some rock hunting and we tried to spot the octopus that is rumored to live in the waters. It’s never been too busy when we’re there.

Wonderful state park in Anacortes on one side of the bridge and Oak Harbor on the other. Amazing hikes, wonderful beaches. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!! Dogs on leash welcome.

Check out deception pass state park and Rosario beach. If you have time, check out Anacortes (ferries go to San Juan’s from here!) and check out Pelican Bay books for the best coffee and used books.
