Tips from locals
Recently renamed (from the Indianapolis Museum of Art), this place is wonderful. The exhibits inside and the gardens outside.
Wonderful historic art museum. Absolutely must visit Winterlights display during Christmas time.
Newfields is not just an art museum, it's an experience. The museum itself features unique, interesting, and well thought out exhibits. The museum grounds are stunning and beautiful, with carefully planned gardens that are constantly changing. While not everyone thinks of an art museum as a place…
Great hiking and it is an art museum as well! The 100 acre woods is free to get into but the museum does have a fee.

“On race day you can hear the cars in the back yard. If you're this close to the track, you really should go see it. The "tour" is a simple ride around the track, and some say it's overpriced, but, hey, there are only a few opportunities for a common person to actually be on the track, so why not take advantage of it? How else could you get on to the actual track? Run the Mini Marathon the first Saturday of May!”

“This zoo is one of the best in the country and participates in a program to assist the preservation of a species. It's more than family friendly, but is also a pleasant place for adults only. There is plenty to see, observe and enjoy for all ages. Plan for several hours, so you aren't frustrated with the lack of time to see it all. Animals begin to get agitated about an hour before closing, because they know it will soon be feeding time... it might be a time you'd want to be there!”
