Brixton Market - a short distance from the flat - is a buzzing food market with lots of different restaurants and places to enjoy a drink. A great way to see the local food scene.

About a 20-30 minute walk away, or hop on the bus to Brixton Station. Brixton's covered market and surrounding neighbourhood is a great place to explore, be it shopping & lunch in the day or meeting friends for dinner and drinks at night.

Music Venue
“One of London’s premier live music venues, the 4,921-capacity Brixton Academy has booked an unbelievable roll-call of music talent since it opened in 1983. Previously this building had been the Astoria Cinema, completed in 1929. Although the lower seating was removed when the cinema was converted in the 70s, a lot of the original neo-Renaissance details remain, like a proscenium arch, false loggia, balustrade and Corinthian columns.”

“The Ritzy cinema opened in 1911 and was one of England’s earliest purpose built cinemas, seating over 750 seats in the single auditorium. This beautiful Victorian cinema is a 20 minute walk from the flat.”

Park
“Perhaps one of London's loveliest leafy expanses, Brockwell Park has become a mecca for fun-loving kiddies. Often termed "Brixton's Beach", the park is remarkable for its large lido, now one of the few remaining outdoor swimming pools in London. It is an ideal place to take a dip in the summer and catch some rays.”

“The amazing lido at Brockwell is the perfect spot for an outdoor swim. There's a full gym there too. You may want a wetsuit during the winter as it's not heated!”
