The seawater at Praia da Dona Ana is very clean. The rock formations of Ponta da Piedade protect Dona Ana beach against waves from the southwest. This is why the sea here is quite calm. This is also why the beach is very popular for snorkelling. You can see a big variety of flora and fauna underwater. There are almost no currents or big waves. Be warned that even in mid-summer, the water can be very cold. Once you get in the water, it takes some time to get used to the temperature.

One of the most picturesque beaches in Lagos and the Algarve. Famous for its crystal clear waters, spectacular rock formations, golden sands, caves, grottos, and wonderful views of the Lagos bay. Located 20 min walk from Lagos city center and has free parking and few coffee shops right at the entrance to the beach.
