Forteca – the English tower Fort Wellington that was built during British occupation of Korcula in 1813 on the place of the Venetian fortification from 1616.
Fort Wellington, later renamed The Fortress of Saint Vlaho, was originally built by the British during their occupation of Korčula in the early 1800s on the old site of a 15th century Venetian fortification. It was the site of a battle between locals and the Italian fascists during World War 2.
