There's been a huge regeneration project around Kings Cross - there are now tonnes of independent shops, great restaurants and bars in the area around the station (and market stalls at the weekend). Really worth a visit.
Walk along the Regents Canal at the bottom of Kentish Town Rd - turn left to go to the amazing Kings Cross with its myriad of restaurants and parks - or turn right to go through Camden Market and London Zoo to Little Venice.
