For stunning water views and easy hiking, head down Chuckanut towards Clayton Beach. You can park at the designated places off of Chuckanut Road and walk the interurban trail to the trail leading to Clayton Beach.

Fun, beautiful views, rock formations to play on, sandy beach front, view of Anacortes and San Juan Islands. It's also a short drive to Taylor Shellfish and the Skagit County town of Edison.

Long open beach with views of the San Juan islands. Alert - if it is high tide the beach can get quite small. Also, This trail is a little tricky but worth it - just as you approach the train track crossing it’s quite steep with poor footing, after you cross the tracks head south about 10 yards to find the trail to the water.

Hike to the beach and explore the strange Chuckanut Sandstone formations. Great for a picnic and a sunset.

Climb the boulders at sunset - doesn't get any better than that!
