The Church of St. Nicholas In Pisa, perhaps built in 1097, the church hosts important paintings such as the "Madonna and Child"By John Traini (XIV century) and the "St. Nicholas saving Pisa from the plague"(XV century), in addition to several other wood carvings of Giovanni and Nicola Pisano And the Annunciation Of Francesco Valdambrino. Between 1297 and 1313 it was enlarged by the Augustinians, perhaps by Giovanni Pisano (east side). The façade features pilasters, blind arches and lozenges, and is decorated with late twelfth-century Tarsias.
