Definately worth a visit if you're a keen mountain biker. The climbs are short but tough enough, the decents are fun and flowy and the views are spectacular. Even if its not a clear day to reslish in the view, you'll be still amazed by the fresh woodland smells, plenty of forest streams, vast expanses of heather. It's so calm up there, it's like being in a world of your own. Week days are very quiet, you could have the place to yourself. Weekends are busy-ish but definately not overcrowed.

Whether you want to avail of this state of the art mountain bike trail, just 10 mins away with its 76kms of 100% pure single track trail+ 3kms of fire road or instead walk/hike through Glen wood depending on your choice, this is a beautiful scenic giving panoramic views of sligo coastline There is also a hidden surprise along the way but you can discover this yourself!

A world-class 80km National Mountain Bike Trail Centre consisting of 76km of single track cycling trails and related facilities is proposed for the Coillte-owned Coolaney Forest on the Ox Mountains and along the Wild Atlantic Way; the only such facility in the Northwest region and one with potential to be the largest, most exciting mountain biking centre on the island.
