Tips from locals
this historic hangout for many great Hungarian writers celebrates its 130t- anniversary last year, following a renovation blending classic style with modern flair.
One of the top 3 most beautiful coffee shops in Budapest hands down, rather touristic and pricey, but well worth a visit! They have a great breakfast buffet as well!
The coffee house is more than 120 years old, already hosted many legendary guests and due to its architectural significance many tourists have chosen to enjoy a good atmosphere and a good coffee. The view is indeed unique, hence a worth taking a look with your own eyes.
It was the meeting point of poets in the beginning of the 20th century. Now it belongs to a 5 star hotel and is beautifully renovated. The café that was once chosen as the most beautiful in the world.

“The Ring Café serves one of our favorite burger in town. They also have great salads and quesadillas. Our favorite one is the avocado and bacon burger (with extra cheddar). The interior doesn’t look so good and the service is a bit slow, but the burgers are worth it!”

“From panoramic igloos to glass-fronted terraces augmenting Art Nouveau hotels, Budapest has any number of terraces to sip mulled wine in the warmth of indoors while watching the snow fall and Christmas lights tinkle. Some are seasonal additions or conversions to popular alfresco spots in summer, others imaginative creations that have only been unveiled this year. Those operating as extensions to top-notch restaurants can offer fine fare to go with your glass of red, a surprisingly affordable experience particularly if you factor in lunchtime deals as well. Live music is an occasional feature, DJs too.”
