Tips from locals
Lots of lovely spots to explore. Recommendation: park your car on the Crowborough Road (Go to Nutley, turn left then right) and enjoy the walks / scenery. Cattle and sheep roam freely throughout the summer and autumn months.
Stunnung views across the Ashdown Forest. Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now one of the largest free public access space in the South East. It is an ancient area of tranquil open heathland occupying the highest sandy ridge-top of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It's right outside the Garden Gate and beautiful, many walks can encompass stopping at a lovely place to eat and drink also.
