Why locals recommend it
This is chef Josiah Citrin’s casual, grill-centric restaurant that serves amazing things like bison. Don’t miss the cabbage baked in embers. They cook a whole head of cabbage so it blackens on the outside and caramelizes, and serve it with a yogurt sauce. It’s the best cabbage you’ll ever have. Come for their version of happy hour called “The Evening Glass Off” and have an amazing $9 burger at the bar with a glass of syrah. Chef Josiah makes his own J1 steak sauce, his take on A1 steak sauce; it’s really tasty.
Tips from locals
Great place to enjoy Josiah Citrin’s cooking without paying Melisse pricing. Both the meat and veggie dishes are amazing. Favorites include the lamb tartare, smoky lamb ribs & flank steak, broccolini, baked cabbage and sticky toffee pudding.
Amazing food in Venice. Incredible happy hour, 2x a day! You cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu + the cocktails!

“this one is for you Francophiles. An upscale meeting place for breakfast and lunch becomes a local wine bar at night. Also a good place to work on your laptop in the middle of the day. Authentique!”

“I love BAGELS!!! LOVE THEM! Noah's Bagels are great! They have plenty of fresh Bagels and a handful of spreads. I Love the plain, blueberry and egg bagels. They also have raspberry and strawberry lemonade. I love them! There isn't much seating indoors - 3-4 tables. They also have plenty of seating outdoors right next to the parking lot.”
