Huge white sand beach. No crowds and great views of molikini. Snorkeling gets good this far south, only caveat is its paid parking.

Snorkle spot! Makena/Ahihi Bay- This is our favorite spot. Drive south on S. Kihei Rd, past Wailea to Makena State Park. There will be an area on the right where people are swimming in a small cove next to road. Drive past that and park in the public parking about 500 feet past the snorkeling. Get there as early as possible because of the visibility. By about 11:00 am the visibility starts to deteriorate. It’s still clear but it starts getting windy and stirs up the sand a bit.

Beautiful beach but the surf can be rather large, so be careful.

This beach is an absolute must see. It has been ranked one of the most peaceful places in the world. *BE AWARE OF THE LARGE SURF. There have been many unfortunate accidents due to bad ocean safety and awareness.
