Max’s at 3653 Germantown Ave. Among the city’s steak venues, it’s a relative newcomer at less than three decades old. But this North Philly eatery offers one of the better versions of Philly’s most famous sandwich. So when Tessa Thompson dragged Michael B. Jordan through the door it became clear the movie (creed) wasn’t faking. Go and get you a cheesesteak the Philly way salt pepper ketchup fried onions and mayo. The way is pretty long there are no call ahead orders but they do have online ordering The neighborhood is not for the weak, but you will thank me later.
