LOCK HOUSE, GLOUCESTER: A UNIQUE SITUATION

The Lock House dates originally from the early 19th century, with a later extension built on in Victorian times. It was built to house the Lock Keeper, who was responsible for the safe passage of ships coming and going along the busy Sharpness Canal. The house sits between the canal lock in the front, and the river at the back. In the garden it is possible to imagine you are in the country, yet it is within a short walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. There is onsite parking.
