Our lovely cosy cottage, "the old byre", is situated in the heart of the Highlands, just a 15 minute drive from the main A9 and 54 miles north of Inverness city centre. With the surrounding magnificent scenery, wide open spaces and beautiful walks from the door, you may not want to get back in your car! But, if you do, there is much to explore locally, with fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more. In 2021 we created 4 miles of footpaths, literally on your doorstep

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! The Weavers is a traditional Croft cottage renovated in 2023 to an exceptional standard whilst retaining its original charm and character. Situated at the base of Dalmore Rock, it was built in the mid 1800’s from Dalmore granite. This cosy cottage is perfectly placed to explore the area, being only 15 minutes from the NC500 route and the Sound of Fleet nature reserve, and 20 minutes to Dornoch in the east. 15 minutes west takes you to Lairg the gateway to the west and north Highlands.
