Hammeren seter is located 900 meters above sea level on the west side of Gudbransdalslågen, and about 30 minutes drive from Kvitfjell alpine resort. The nearest mountain peak is Bånseterkampen (1220 meters above sea level)About 30 min walk from the farm. Outside the cabin wall there are great groomed ski slopes. The trail network is connected to Skeikampen, Kvitfjell and Gålå

The cabin is located at Viken Fjellgård, an hour from Lillehammer, right by the idyllic Espedalsvatnet, 720 metres above sea level, and Langsua National Park. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet, swim, paddle, visit mines, or go for walks. It is a short distance to the high mountains with many hiking opportunities, or you can walk from the farm along the water, on trails in the woods and fields. There is a cosy outdoor area with a fire pit on the jetty by the boathouse, and there is a swimming beach on the other side. Our guests can use our two boats and canoe freely, and we lend out two fishing rods.

You get the feeling of being "alone in the whole world" despite 7 minutes to Fagernes town. Mindfulness. About 2.5 hours drive towards Valdres from Oslo. There is electricity and wood burning. To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 mins. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. Lots of hiking opportunities in both summer and winter right from the door. About 1 km skiing through the forest to the trail network to Skeikampen. The cabin sleeps 5, plus crib, equipped kitchen, heat pump, wood-burning stove and dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen and towels incl. Must have 4x4 in winter. 15 min to city center and Skeikampen, 30 min to Lillehammer and 45 min to Hunderfossen.
