Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Quiet, peaceful, with stunning views of fjords and mountains, less than 10 m from the waterfront. 70 m2 plus large room at the jetty level. Unique design, large window surfaces, and rooms on multiple levels. One bedroom with a double bed, and a large sofa bed in the loft/TV room. Tiled bathroom by bedroom. The lower floor with double gate, view of the fjord, and with its own toilet/laundry room and fridge/freezer.

Urke in Hjørundfjorden - cabin by the lake

Urke is a lively little village and has everything you need; great nature, hiking and swimming opportunities, shop with post office and pharmacy, garden center and own pub/cafe. The nature in the area is amazing. Sunnmørsalpane surrounds the village with majestic Slogen and Saksa which has become very popular after Sherpas from Nepal have made steps up through the URA. In the last couple of years, Urkeegga has also become a popular tourist destination. The mountains here are as popular for skiers in winter as for mountain trips in summer.

Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The storage room is over a century old, but has been renovated. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is only used by you guests and access to the rest of the main house is closed off. There is 5 gallons of water available in the fridge.
