You can go out on Lake Vänern with a plastic sheet, and if you’ve brought a kayak, it’s easy to launch. The plastic canoe is great for paddling, but it also has a motor. You need to bring your own clean petrol. You can swim from the pine-covered cliffs in the bay or out around the skerries and islands. Värmlandsnäs is located right in the middle of Sweden’s largest freshwater lake, Vänern, and is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including birds, deer and wild boar.

There is access to swimming and fishing in both Lake Vänern and Gapern. For the golf enthusiast there are several golf courses at close quarters. In Väse a few miles away is Vilda parken where you can both skateboard and BMX.
