Take a morning swim in the bay and then have your breakfast on the terrace. Stay in your own small modern house. Bathroom and kitchenette with dishwasher. Everything you need is here. Most comfortable nature for retreat, breath take it easy or be active and sport. There are forests with walking paths or bike paths, blueberries, lingonberries and mushrooms. Your neighbour is the bathing bay with a sandy beach and Lake Vänern. The city of Karlstad with shopping and culture is only 15km away. Maybe this is your 'hideaway'?

Wooden cottage near Vänern

Welcome to Karterud, a small neighborhood on the Segerstad Peninsula. The house is located amidst ecological fields, surrounded by berries and mushrooms in summer and autumn. It takes a 12 minute walk to get to the Vänern lake where you can take a swim. The house has its own water well and heatpump. In the Segerstad area you can find many historical find locations which go back to the stone age and later. This indicates people inhabiting this area for a long time with it’s productive land.

In winter, you are close to the Åmål ski center and in just about 1 hour you can reach the Sunne Ski Center. Around Säffle you will find great grocery stores, Systembolaget, pharmacies, cafés etc.

Dream house near the lake with its own Jacuzzi

This newly built unique accommodation, my home, is located in the heart of Värmland. Fantastic views of Lake Glafsfjorden with sunsets that are irresistibly beautiful. Large wooden deck with its own Jacuzzi. Just a few hundred meters to the lake. Cows and calves are in the pasture that you have to go through to get down to the lake. The beach is rocky. I have an older rowboat by the lake that you can use freely. The boat is a little worn but works. Good fishing.

The apartment is located in Lorensberg, a calm and friendly neighbourhood with walking distance to both the city centre and campus, and is perfect for the busy tourist as well as a new student at the booming Karlstad University. The house used to be home to multiple families, and so the apartment comes fully equiped with a kitchen as well as a private bathroom and is closed off from the rest of the house with it’s own entrance. No smoking.

Quiet, cosy cottage in central Säffle

We have a little cottage in our garden, situated near the centre of the town Säffle. There are two beds, a kitchen with refrigerator, sink, two stove plates and microwave if you want to cook on your own, and newly rebuilt bathroom with shower. See pictures. The surroundings are nice, close to shopping and strolling along the river Byälven. You find lake Vänern in 6km distance, where you summertime can take a bath.
