La Bonita Ermita is a small hermitage style home on a hillside with amazing views of the sunrise, sunset and Pecos Valley. The home was carved into the hillside with 4 terraced levels and is a stone's throw from Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery. Literally boarding 10s of thousands of acres of the Sante Fe National Forest behind a private gate. A must stop if you are driving thru Pecos either on the Sante Fe trail or Historic Route 66. Immersed in nature and yet only 25 minutes to Sante Fe.

Chameleon: 2 room cabin, NO running water and no toilet facilities in the casita, sleeps 4, possibly 5, two (2) double beds in the bedroom, and a daybed for an extra person (for an added fee of $20.) Wood stove, hot plate & electric appliances for cooking. Open deck on the Pecos River! with an outdoor fireplace. Community bathhouse with commodes and showers, 300 feet from Chameleon. Some road noise can be heard, especially during peak travel times.
