My favourite restaurant in town. Delicious and about 35€ per person all included. Insider tip: to be sure to get a table (no reservations possible) be sure to be in front of the door at 12h15 PM for lunch. It gets complicated for dinner (except of you like dining scandinavian style at 5-6PM) as the waiting time can reach 2 hours.

Exclusive restaurant. A tad expensive for Lisbon but truly great cocktails and wine selection. Insider tip: order the mushroom salad and the risotto. Insider tip 2: try to pace the waiters as they have a tendency to pour the wine faster than necessary.

The "Time Out Market" is a food hall located in the Mercado da Ribeira. It features 35 kiosks selling regional specialities, such as Azeitão sheep's cheese, Alentejo ham, custard tarts from cafe Aloma, sardines, wines and chocolates. Five top chefs have restaurants here. The original fish, fruit and vegetable market stalls occupy the other half of the landmark building. My recommendation is to be there early if you want to have a pleasant experience. The place has become victim of its own success and gets easily overcrowded. INSIDER TIP: the 4 best stalls by far are: Sea Me Alexandre Silva Miguel Castro e Silva Henrique Sá Pessoa

Absolutely outstanding pizza. Probably the best to be had (outside Italy). Thin crusted, crisp and fresh. Ingredients are clearly very fresh and good quality stuff. Yes, you pay for it, and so be it!. Fresh, natural and organic ingredients over an amazingly thin dough base. Original pizzas. The Orverde sounds weird but is divine. Surprising amount of beer and wine choice for a pizza place.

If you want a better experience in all senses than having to wait in line and dine expensively at the legendary Cervejeria Ramiro, just skip the legend, walk 100 meters down the street and get a table at this corner restaurant. Without a doubt in my top 5 in Lisbon. Order the clams with lemon and coriander, the garlic shrimps and a crab (sapateira) to share and you'll have a memorable evening.

Fully vegetarian. This place is magical. When you're walking on the street you don't expect to find such a restaurant nearby. It's quite busy but not in a way that makes you uncomfortable. Great quality and flavours. Big portions. Beautiful setting. Friendly service. Not super cheap for Portugal but still very reasonable prices. They don't serve alcohol.

The architecture of the main building and the gardens alone are worth spending some time. The civilization museum is my favourite. TIPS: Free on Sundays, closed on Tuesdays. TIP: look for the many species of birds, fishes, turtles roaming around the park
