Parks & Nature

Amsterdam’s Vondelpark is comparable with Hyde Park in London or Central Park in New York, albeit slightly smaller in size. This beautiful park, slap bang in the city centre and located between the buzzing tourist hotspots of Leidseplein and Museumplein, is the perfect refuge from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. And there is so much more to enjoy in the Vondelpark than just a pleasant stroll, particularly in the summer when there is a whole range of exciting activities for young and old on offer. There are several outside restaurants and teraces, children playgrounds, a children swimming pool, beautiful ponds and an outside amphitheater where you can enjoy free concerts and performances each saturday and sunday during summer.

Less well known than Vondelpark so more quiet and more green. Perfect for a morning run.
