Great, relaxed atmosphere, in the heart of town and great outdoor seating and great to watch sports with their own brews on tap!

Hacienda is the best Mexican in Tahoe City in my opinion. Blue Agave is in the heart of town which is nice! Hacienda Del Lago has better views, and sits right next to Jake's in the Boatworks Mall!

Perhaps one of best views of the lake you can possibly get! Located only about a 5 minute drive heading the opposite way of the downtown, Sunnyside is an iconic restaurant that has a more formal dining side and a casual dining side, both are great! One of the larger outdoor decks out of all the restaurants!

To me this is the spot for Happy Hour! Right on the river and across from Fanny Bridge and the dam, but good selection for Happy Hour, and on the front side of town, so nice to walk up here for Happy Hour and stay for dinner!

Parks & Nature

Our family's favorite hike! About a 40 minute drive heading towards South Lake, but definitely worth it! The hike is family friendly (Always seeing families of four on it and dogs) The hike is about an hour up and ends with the beautiful site of the Eagle Falls Lake! You can go for a dip, but it is icy cold! But something fun to do! About halfway up the hike there are jaw-dropping views of the lake and more specifically Emerald Bay, one of the most historical and iconic places of the whole lake, if not the most iconic spot of the whole lake!

Getting Around

If you go to South Lake for a day, definitely stop by Camp Richardson and rent some bikes and ride through the many bike trails they have their where some lead you down by the lake! Swing by the iconic ice cream shop in town where it seems everyone stops to get a scoop, or two, although one scoop is huge already :) Expect lines as well, as it is a very popular spot!

Entertainment & Activities

If you head to the Cobblestone Center, you will find a quaint movie theater right there, they usually show two movies at a time, and only a few different times, but if you see they are playing something you would like to see I recommend it, it is a cool theater that is a fun stop for families, couples, etc. They serve wine and beer here as well :)
