Has great seafood and you can choose your own fish. Call ahead to reserve a table right on the balcony railing, though all tables have great view of the marina and harbour. Favorite dishes are the calamari, conch salad, whole fried snapper and their seafood platers are very good. Fruity rum based tropical drinks, like Bahama Mammas are a must here. http://thepoopdeck.com/

Authentic Bahamian food, lively setting often with live music. Establishments at the "Fish Fry" range from rustic shacks to multi-level waterfront restaurants. Try conch salad, made to order right in front of you.

An iconic Harbour Island restaurant overlooking the beach, Sip Sip just opened a 2nd restaurant at The Cove, Atlantis on Paradise Island. They do NOT accept reservations so go right before they open to guarantee a table and not a long wait. Closes at 5pm. To see the original Sip Sip make a day trip with Bahamas Fast Ferries to Harbour Island. (Same advice as above.)

Early in your stay visit the Dune Bar for a Bond style Martini! Located within the Ocean Club with great views over Cabbage Beach. Very expensive, but worth at least seeing it and having a cocktail.

There are many reasons to stop here. The fort, the beach, and recently a few beach shacks selling Sky Juice (Fresh coconut water, gin or rum, and sweetened condensed milk) and fresh conch salad! Other local drinks and food are available but those are my top choices. Also the FISH MARKET which is actually a little east of the map marker for the beach. If coming from the East you will need to circle around due to the roads splitting into one way before you get there. Be ready for a little friendly haggling with the fishermen. Don't just ask for grouper or lobster, ask them show you other options like Margot Fish or Hog Fish.

The view of the harbour is remarkable! You will need a reservation if going for dinner so book ahead. They seem to have a bit of everything on the menu but somehow they pull it off. Our favorite dishes are all the appetizers lol, steaks, Asian dishes and the lasagna rolls. Pizzas are decent, by Nassau standards at least. Cocktails are expensive but good. It is worth a visit for sure.

Drinks & Nightlife

If you see this place open STOP! Right on the sea and open odd hours, this street side bar has the best sunset views on the island. Drinks are made with all fresh fruit in endless combinations... If you have kids with you, they can happily play on the beach while you supervise from the bar. Non-alcoholic frozen drinks (unleaded) are also available, making it a fun stop for all ages. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g147416-d6922323-Reviews-Daiquiri_Shack-Nassau_New_Providence_Island_Bahamas.html

Entertainment & Activities

Home of Dolphin Encounters - Set on a private island, we recommend the Beach Day. You get a short boat ride, access to the inflatable park, lunch and can see the dolphins even if you don't actually reserve and interaction. Go on the earliest boat to get a great spot (hammock!) on the edge of the lagoon. Great for windy days as the lagoon keeps water very calm and little kid friendly.
