I love this spot winter or summer short hike from a parking area to the bottom of the falls. You will get wet have to walk a bit in the creek. A longer hike to the top but less people there in summer and beautiful. Not far from Sand Dunes

This is a place with tons of wildlife, elk, antelope, birds of pray and the open valley is a lovely place to walk. It is also steeped in history of the valley and the rancher who settled here

Another short walk in sand of course but the quartz vain is a whole mountain outcropping. I would say less than a mile into see it. I love it as well
