The Art Institute of Chicago on Michigan Ave. is another iconic museum that I'm sure you've heard of. This is something I would carve out a few hours to explore as there is so much to see. I especially love the new modern wing designed by one of my favorite architects, Renzo Piano. It's bright, beautiful and sleek with such subtle yet well designed architectural elements.

This is something I would carve out a few hours to explore as there is so much to see. I especially love the new modern wing designed by one of my favorite architects, Renzo Piano. It's bright, beautiful and sleek with such subtle yet well designed architectural elements.
MCA - Museum of Contemporary Art just a short stroll East from the apartment. They always have cool events going on and really interesting exhibitions.. there is also a fun shop on the mail level which I always enjoy checking out & in the summers, they have a weekly farmers market outside.

There are beautiful gardens, a stunning amphitheater by the great architect Frank Gehry.. there is also a pedestrian bridge that brings you over to the lake site of the park. Which you should also explore!

I've taken this tour once and it was such a memorable experience. The most breathtaking views of the city you can't really get anywhere else! I would check out Groupon for tickets as they often have great discounts :)
