Solid restaurant- very popular with locals due to it's modern Euro/Scottish cuisine fusion, and reasonable prices. The lamb is especially good (and spherical!)

Basement pub in classic Edinburgh style- come here to mingle with Stockbridge 'New Touners', Bonnington Old Boys, and Highlanders a long way from home (and happy to sing about it). Thursday nights this bar really shines- with an open mike for traditional Scots music.

Overflowing with cute little boutiques, cafes, and interesting bars. Relatively off of the tourist trail compared to more famous shopping streets such as George Street or Victoria Street- but well worth a look all the same!
