If you're feeling energetic, climb the nearest Munro and enjoy sensational views for miles in every direction from the summit. There are 2 main routes, one more taxing than the other! Check details online before setting off.

Conic Hill has fabulous views over Loch Lomond and, even though the track is a bit steep in places, it's an easier walk than Ben Lomond. Depart from Balmaha on the east side of the Loch.

There are great walking and biking trails through the Queen Elizabeth Forest. Pick up a trail map at the Tourist Information Centre in Aberfoyle. If you walk the length of Loch Ard, treat yourself to lunch or tea & scones at the Wee Blether Cafe at Kinlochard, our favourite cafe.

Glasgow is only about 30 minutes away by train and so worth visiting. The city centre has wonderful Victorian architecture, great shops and masses of wonderful cafes and restaurants. The West End has Glasgow University and a life all of its own. Byres Road is the hub, with wonderful individual shops and cafes. Also worth seeing are the Botanic Gardens at the top of Byres Road with the stunning Kibble Palace glasshouse.
