Sightseeing

You have beautiful walks in the dunes and on the beach. Learn a little about the history during your stay, it's a wonderful little village - not that I am biased or anything :).

One of our guests suggested a visit here. She said it was full of history and a spiritual experience. We have never visited the site, however I drive past it often and it is beautiful.

Make sure you go to visit the lighthouse in Talacre. It is steeped in history - some say it is haunted. We are very lucky to have had descendants of Samuel Brooks stay at Wendykott.

A little drive away (about an hour), however it is well worth the trip. You can visit the old slate mines or take a trip on the steam train. Just seeing the views as you drive there is enough to make me smile.

Another lovely little castle - if you like this sort of thing (which I do :)). Rhuddlan castle is one of the smaller castle. The village itself is lovely and you can do the Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall on the way there or back.
