Food Scene

Nice cafe with quirky furniture and free wifi. They also serve alcohol here. Always good cakes. It's nice to take your laptop and work or to sit with a book and read. Tuesday evenings, there's a live band.

This is my favourite gastro-pub in the area. Great food and also just good for drinks. The menu is always changing and they do a brilliant traditional English Sunday roast. Tuesday evenings there's a pub quiz. Good fun.

This is a must-do for the area. The restaurant serves traditional Eritrean food and it's absolutely amazing - whether you're on your own or with friends. Be prepared to eat with your hands. Wonderfully friendly staff here and you're always made to feel welcomed.

Parks & Nature

It's a small park, which is another 3 minutes' walk from the flat. It's great if you want to get a breath of fresh air and stretch your legs. Good on sunny days. There are also tennis courts here, an exercise area and a kids play area. Very popular park with the neighbourhood locals.
