It's an awesome scene with plants and candles adorning the space, daybeds full of pillows, energetic, hip electronic music, and on top of all that, Beatnik has excellent Middle Eastern food (like Lebanese/Moroccan). Cocktails are fantastic as well, go figure. Highly recommended for a lively lunch, sexy spot for dinner, or a hip lounge for evening drinks.

EAT here! It's right across the street and it's very approachable, casual, delicious HANDMADE pasta. Get the Tortelli (obviously) and the broccoli starter. The rest of the pastas are all amazing so that depends on your taste. Very highly recommended and if you want to cook at home, just pickup some fresh pasta while walking past.

Warning: Phenomenal meals to be had here... It's a Portuguese/Spanish coastal menu with loads of seafood (plus cured meats + cheeses) and an excellent, unique wine list. Also has fantastic cocktails and is next door to Beatnik so I would highly recommend both for drinks and/or dinners. Porto is a little quieter for drinks and is better for couples and I'd say that Beatnik is more lively and sometimes pretty loud but an awesome 1-2 punch if you're looking for a nice area for the night.

Hands down the ultimate ice cream destination! It's not originally from Chicago but Jeni's has an amazing flavor selection and it's right smack in the middle of Milwaukee Ave anyway so why not :)
