Food Scene

Super tasty little breakfast spot! Be warned, it is very popular and there is typically a minimum of a half-hour wait to sit. But the food is delish--try the sweet potato pancake!

Awesome breakfast spot, located in a house that was converted into a restaurant. Homey and friendly, this place serves amazing Louisiana creole breakfast. Be sure to try an order of beignets as a breakfast appetizer. Killer bloody marys too!

Cafe Aion is a sweet little neighborhood restaurant on the iconic "Hill" of Boulder, offering shared tapas (small plates), paella (spanish slow-cooked rice dish), and a lovely wine and cocktail program. Great date spot! Enjoy your meal on the patio next to the rose-covered wall and garden lights during warm summer nights, and cozy up on the pillowed banquette inside next to the fireplace in the winter. Wednesday nights they offer "date night, with a paella (serves two) and a bottle of wine for $49. Happy hour every day from 3-6, open at 11 am on weekdays, 8 am for brunch on weekends. Parks & Nature

Beautiful scenery, sunrises, sunsets, wildlife, and hiking, just steps from the cabin. Pack a picnic and hike around for the day for a sense of peace and revival. To access the trails, you can hike directly from the cabin, and walk diagonally across the intersection with the row of mailboxes. This will take you to the most epic views of the lake and the mountains before you wind your way down to the water's edge. You can also drive one minute to the Gross Reservoir Entrance parking lot and hike down from there. Since it is a water reserve for Denver, there is no swimming allowed, however stand up paddle boards are allowed! You can rent them in town. Check reservoir website for boating dates.
